Remote Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

Cortica is seeking a full‑time Remote Human Resources Coordinator to support our growing team. You will help deliver an excellent employee experience by managing onboarding, off‑boarding, and day‑to‑day HR operations while contributing to the development of new HR systems and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end employee onboarding and off‑boarding, ensuring a smooth experience.
• Serve as the first point of contact for the HR Help Desk, answering employee inquiries in line with culture, policy, and labor law.
• Organize and digitize HR personnel files, maintaining compliance with filing standards.
• Process employee changes and transactions, keeping HRIS data accurate.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies, document SOPs, and create employee resources.
• Deliver HR trainings to employees and managers.
• Perform assorted administrative tasks across various HR functions.

Required profile

• Passion for building new HR processes in a fluid, entrepreneurial environment.
• At least 1 + years of HR‑related experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and compliance.
• Customer‑service mindset focused on finding optimal solutions.
• Strong communication skills, able to convey good and bad news compassionately.
• Exceptional organizational ability with keen attention to detail.
• Self‑starter who can work reliably in a remote setting.
• Professional handling of sensitive and confidential information.
• Eye for process improvement and continuous enhancement.
