Remote Eating Disorder Nurse Practitioner (1099)

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to deliver outpatient medical care to patients with eating disorders through telehealth. The role is fully remote and operates on a 1099 contract, with patient visits scheduled every 4–6 weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial and follow‑up medical assessments via video for individuals across the eating‑disorder spectrum (AN, BN, BED, ARFID, OSFED, etc.).
• Order, interpret, and act on laboratory results; make medical clearance and re‑feeding decisions.
• Prescribe and manage medications within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with registered dietitians and therapists on shared treatment plans and participate in bi‑weekly case conferences.
• Escalate clinical‑safety or medical‑instability concerns according to Nabi’s policies.
• Contribute to clinical protocols, safety floors, and escalation pathways.
• Complete documentation in the EMR within 72 hours of each encounter.

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted APRN license with prescriptive authority.
• Current national board certification (FNP‑BC/FNP‑C, PMHNP‑BC, AGNP, or equivalent).
• 1–2 years of experience providing eating‑disorder care.
• Comfortable practicing via telehealth and using cloud‑based EMR systems.
• Reliable high‑speed internet and a private, HIPAA‑compliant workspace.
• Alignment with weight‑inclusive, anti‑diet, trauma‑informed care principles.
