Remote DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Reliability

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure, security, observability, and operational reliability. This fully remote position requires weekend coverage on Saturdays with a flexible weekday off in exchange.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources for scalability, cost‑efficiency and high availability.
• Build and maintain centralized logging, monitoring and alerting solutions, creating dashboards and operational metrics.
• Implement security best practices, manage identity & access controls, secrets, and support compliance initiatives.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows.
• Enhance uptime, backup, disaster‑recovery processes and define service‑level objectives.
• Partner with engineering, product and leadership teams, providing technical guidance and participating in on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps or site‑reliability engineering, preferably with GCP.
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats – from infrastructure to occasional application‑level debugging.
• Willingness to provide Saturday on‑call coverage and exchange a weekday off.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
