Remote Customer Care Representative

About the role

Assurant is looking for a Customer Care Representative to join its remote support team. This full-time position makes the representative the main voice of the organisation, handling inbound customer calls and email enquiries with professionalism, empathy and efficiency. The role covers resolving customer issues, answering policy or service questions, documenting interactions and keeping service quality and productivity high in a virtual setting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer communications by phone and email while providing empathetic support.
• Investigate and resolve customer enquiries, billing questions and service issues with tailored solutions.
• Document customer interactions, update account records and manage required follow-up actions.
• Meet performance metrics, quality standards and schedule adherence targets.
• Take part in cross-functional projects and adapt to changing business needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Prior customer service background; call centre, insurance or banking experience preferred.
• Flexibility for shift schedules, including up to 9 PM EST.
• Reliable high-speed home internet (at least 25 Mbps download / 6 Mbps upload) and a quiet, dedicated workspace.

Required skills

• Strong computer navigation skills.
• Proficiency with communication tools.
