Remote Contact Center Associate 2 – Patient Services

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Contact Center Associate 2 to work remotely. In this role you will be the front‑line liaison for patients, helping them schedule appointments, verify insurance, and navigate our services while upholding a culture of empathy and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courteous, efficient patient service with consistent quality and productivity.
• Schedule and register patients across multiple physicians, specialties, and sites using the EPIC system.
• Coordinate pre‑registration and insurance verification with central teams.
• Identify and communicate trouble spots or patterns affecting patient care.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing guidance and on‑the‑job training to new hires.
• Maintain direct communication with providers, medical staff, and satellite offices.

Required profile

• High level of proficiency in patient registration and appointment scheduling.
• Strong understanding of medical triage and government/commercial insurance requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting productivity targets.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
