Remote Brewery Accountant

About the role

Small Batch Standard is a remote accounting, tax, and consulting firm dedicated to the craft brewing industry. We are seeking a full‑time Brewery Accountant to own the month‑end close and client service for a portfolio of 7‑14 brewery clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close for assigned breweries, including QuickBooks Online (QBO) entries, reconciliations, accruals, payroll, inventory, and final review.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact for clients, answering questions and delivering high‑level service.
• Coordinate with Accounting Associates who handle recurring bookkeeping tasks.
• Prepare and file sales and excise tax returns for a subset of clients.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Consulting, and Tax teams to provide necessary financial data.

What we offer

• Base salary $64,000–$73,000 plus production bonus $2,500–$10,000 (total $64,000–$83,000).
