Relief Pharmacist

About the role

Meijer is hiring a relief pharmacist for its pharmacy on Keystone Ave in Indianapolis. The pharmacist must practice pharmacy in an environment that promotes patient care and education, and must be patient directed, clinically oriented and committed to taking the pharmacy to a higher level of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians, hold them accountable for results and motivate them to perform at their best.
• Resolve patient needs through listening and customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, run pharmacy operations and oversee clinical services such as immunizations where allowed.
• Apply Meijer policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except in Indiana).
• Retail/community practice experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies and procedures, and of the regulations of the state where the unit operates.
