Reliability Engineer

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer at Alcoa’s Massena Operations, you will drive predictive and preventive maintenance initiatives to enhance the performance of critical equipment. You will work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to turn data‑driven insights into practical reliability improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reliability and continuous‑improvement projects that optimize equipment performance and maintenance strategies.
• Analyze equipment data using vibration analysis, oil sampling, and condition monitoring to anticipate failures.
• Conduct equipment criticality assessments, prioritize risks, and recommend corrective actions using CMMS data.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to implement predictive, preventive, and reliability‑centered maintenance programs.
• Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to eliminate repeat failures.
• Support business cases and long‑term asset strategies for system modernization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance, or industrial engineering environments (preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems and ability to assess equipment condition.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience using CMMS or operational data.
