Regulatory and Litigation Counsel, Energy

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned attorney to lead our regulatory and litigation efforts within the energy sector. The role will focus on emerging AI energy standards, data center sustainability, grid regionalization, and related regulatory matters across the Americas and globally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead responses and strategy for regulatory inquiries, investigations, enforcement actions, and related civil litigation.
• Assess and challenge existing and upcoming regulations through affirmative litigation.
• Conduct complex factual investigations, oversee collection and production of documents, and drive resolutions or product remediations.
• Coordinate a cohesive global response and strategy for multi‑regional regulatory issues.
• Engage with regulators such as state attorneys general, FTC, DOJ, and energy authorities worldwide.

Required profile

• J.D., LL.B., or equivalent degree and admission to the bar in the relevant state.
• Minimum 7 years of attorney‑level experience in legal, regulatory, and litigation matters, with a focus on energy regulation.
• Proven ability to strategically address, minimize, and avoid regulatory risk.
• Preferred: 10+ years of experience, including work with public company boards, multi‑jurisdictional inquiries, and regulators across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

What we offer

• Base salary ranging from $252,000 to $352,000 per year.
• Target bonus of 25% of base salary.
