Registered Nurse – Women’s & Children’s Unit (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time night‑shift Registered Nurse to join the Women’s & Children’s Unit at UT Health Tyler in Tyler, Texas. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate nursing activities and ensure safe, compassionate treatment for women and pediatric patients during the overnight hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health staff and support services to coordinate treatment plans.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infection‑control and hospital policies.
• Participate in unit hand‑offs and communicate patient status to day‑shift staff.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Ability to work night‑shift hours on a full‑time schedule.

Required skills

• BLS certification.
