Registered Nurse (RN) Specialist

About the role

Monarch Communities Senior Living is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Specialist in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The role involves overseeing the Health and Wellness teams across two assisted living communities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and keeping company policies and procedures up to date. Travel between the two communities is required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the department in compliance, planning, assessments, directing, budget, staffing and hands-on care, following state regulations and company policies
• Complete and oversee periodic resident assessments, conduct compliance visits and audit care plans and documentation in EHR and EMAR
• Evaluate and train Health and Wellness Directors, mentor them and cover their duties when they are away
• Lead the quality assurance program, set benchmarks, run audits of level-of-care assessments and participate in mock and complaint surveys
• Monitor resident care data, resolve resident grievances and communicate risks and sentinel events to the VP of Health and Wellness
• Take part in admissions, discharges, recruitment and onboarding of community directors
• Serve on the Regional Leadership Team and attend corporate meetings as needed

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years' experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health or hospital settings preferred
• Experience with residents who have Alzheimer's or other dementias
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and knowledge of federal and state regulations and nursing practice

• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new applications
