Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Part‑Time Days

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse for the Medical‑Surgical unit at its Hellertown Neighborhood Hospital. The RN will provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients on the Med‑Surg unit.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania (upon hire).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (upon hire).
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver safe patient care.
• Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency programs.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• RN licensure (state of Pennsylvania).
