ALS Technical Partner – Night Shift

About the role

The ALS Technical Partner works as an EMT‑P in the Emergency Department of Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Hellertown during the night shift. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses and ancillary staff to deliver high‑quality emergency care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in individualized patient care plans and execute orders promptly and accurately.
• Perform clinical tasks and procedures within EMT‑P scope, including assisting with examinations, treatments and emergency response teams (RRT, code blues, trauma).
• Transport critically ill or injured patients, monitor respiratory status, and manage airway devices.
• Serve as liaison for EMS agencies, maintain and restock EMS equipment, and support decontamination or mass‑casualty events.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED and EMT‑P certification (State of Pennsylvania or National Registry).
• Ability to assess acute and chronic patients of all ages and document care using computer systems.
• Knowledge of infection‑control procedures, safety precautions and ability to lift 40‑50 lb.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
• Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) – National Association of EMTs.
