Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy

About the role

Surgery Partners is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Endoscopy unit. The nurse delivers safe patient care during the endoscopic portion of a patient's experience, under the supervision of the Supervisor of Clinical Services. The salary range is $40.00 to $53.00 per hour depending on skill and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care through the nursing process, based on nursing diagnoses and orders, and plan care according to the contemplated procedure, admission assessment and physician preference
• Consult with physicians and other team members, involve peers in planning and revising care, and delegate appropriately in emergencies
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and returned properly, conserve materials, and prepare and label specimens according to hospital policy
• Assess patients' physiological and psychosocial status, pain and medical history, and identify and prioritize care needs
• Document clearly and accurately, report changes in patient status, and complete resuscitation records after Code Blue events
• Maintain universal precautions, electrical and environmental safety, and inform relief staff of patient progress

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Able to stand 66-100% of the time, walk 66-100%, lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs as needed
• Adequate vision and hearing
