Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Dept. Part‑Time Nights

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse to work night shifts in the Emergency Department at its Hellertown Neighborhood Hospital. You will provide professional nursing care, assess patients, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated emergency patients.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families to coordinate treatment.
• Participate in evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania (RN‑PA) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage patient care assignments.
• Physical ability to lift/carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for long periods, and perform CPR.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic health record systems.
• RN licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
