Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Part‑Time Days

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department at its Hellertown Neighborhood Hospital. This part‑time, day‑shift position offers the opportunity to work in a nationally recognized, Magnet® hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with facility policies and ANA standards.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to coordinate care and resolve needs.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course and support safe transitions of care.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN license for Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) required upon hire.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage patient assignments in a fast‑paced emergency setting.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform patient transfers.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic health record documentation.
