Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Pediatrics

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive ambulatory care for pediatric patients, following the nursing process from assessment through evaluation. The role involves close collaboration with physicians and the health‑team to ensure safe, effective treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews, explain policies, and answer questions courteously.
• Assess physiological health status (gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, neurological) and adjust the plan of care.
• Evaluate psychosocial health, cultural needs, and coping mechanisms, documenting findings.
• Develop individualized patient outcomes, set goals, and prioritize care activities.
• Coordinate cost‑effective use of supplies, equipment, and medication.
• Implement and continuously reassess the plan of care, administering prescribed treatments and using required equipment.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families, and act rapidly in emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation according to departmental policy.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Experience in ambulatory pediatric settings.
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills for coordinating patient care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
