About the role
The Peer Support Specialist will work on‑site at Amae Health’s Brooklyn clinic, providing direct support to members living with severe mental illness. The position follows a regular schedule of Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑5 pm ET.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one coaching to help members achieve personal goals, foster self‑discovery, and build care‑related skills.
- Plan and lead group activities that encourage participation, build community, and celebrate progress.
- Assist members in accessing and navigating community resources and support services.
- Conduct field work, including home check‑ins and attending community events with members as a supportive peer.
- Collaborate with teammates and clinical staff to ensure compassionate, coordinated support for every member.
