Registered Nurse – Residential Treatment Center

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, evidence‑based medical care to individuals residing in a treatment facility for substance‑use and co‑occurring mental health disorders. Working as an essential member of a multidisciplinary team, the RN delivers clinical oversight, conducts assessments, administers medications, and supports a trauma‑informed therapeutic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments, evaluate high‑risk indicators, and document findings promptly.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans for each patient admission.
• Administer and manage medications accurately, including shift handoffs and MAR reconciliation.
• Monitor for medication side effects or adverse reactions and intervene as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to comprehensive care plans.
• Serve as liaison with external hospitals, providers, and families to coordinate medical care.
• Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience or interest in residential treatment for substance‑use and mental health disorders.
• Ability to work day (6 am‑6:30 pm) and night (6 pm‑6:30 am) shifts.
• Commitment to trauma‑informed, person‑centered care.
