Registered Nurse – Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology seeks a full‑time Registered Nurse 1 to provide patient‑family centered care in the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility unit. The role focuses on delivering culturally competent, evidence‑based nursing care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic test results to monitor patient conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Perform patient tests and safely administer medications, maintaining accurate medication records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Assist with discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Operate medical equipment and adhere to university and unit policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Applicable certifications as defined by the department.
• No prior experience required; ability to learn new procedures quickly.
