Registered Nurse – Pediatric Emergency Department

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Department in Washington, DC. You will provide urgent care to children and adolescents, working across day, night, and mid shifts in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of defense for pediatric patients requiring urgent medical care.
• Assess, prioritize, and deliver care for trauma, injury, or severe medical conditions.
• Monitor patient health, administer medications, and operate pediatric medical equipment.
• Participate in code blue and other emergency situations.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and care plans.

Required profile

• ADN or higher nursing degree.
• Active, unencumbered RN license.
• 1+ years experience in pediatric and/or emergency settings (preferred).
• Excellent communication with healthcare professionals, children, and families.

Required skills

• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (preferred).
• PALS certification (preferred).
