Registered Nurse – Part‑Time Primary Care

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides high‑quality primary and preventive care to a multicultural, uninsured population at BVMI’s modern ambulatory clinic. The role includes direct patient care, education, and occasional charge‑nurse responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with practitioners and nurse managers to address urgent, chronic, and preventive health needs.
• Assist with on‑site and telehealth patient visits, recording vital signs and clinical information in the EMR.
• Provide health education and facilitate referrals to ancillary services.
• Serve as Charge Nurse when needed, supervising staff and managing patient flow.
• Work with volunteer medical staff to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in New Jersey.
• Experience in fast‑paced primary care or hospital‑based ambulatory settings.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to train others on EMR use.
• Knowledge of clinical protocols and safety standards.
