About the role

Join UT Health Tyler as a full‑time, day‑shift Registered Nurse specializing in Orthopedic Trauma and Medical‑Surgical care. You will work in a Level 1 trauma center providing high‑quality patient care to a diverse group of patients.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for orthopedic trauma and med‑surg patients.
• Deliver direct bedside care during assigned day‑shift hours.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated treatment.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in unit safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Ability to work full‑time day shifts in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
