Registered Nurse – Obstetrics (RN – OB)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Obstetrics Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The RN will provide high‑quality, compassionate care to mothers and newborns while supporting patients, families, and the clinical team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for obstetric patients.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise nursing assistants, LPNs and support staff.
• Ensure continuity of care across shifts.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Advocate for patients in alignment with the organization’s mission.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification.
• Preferred: two or more years of experience on an obstetrics unit.
