Registered Nurse - MedSurg Telemetry Unit (Nights)

About the role

AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its 45-bed adult medical telemetry unit, which cares for patients with complex medical needs requiring cardiac monitoring. The unit runs three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with weekend rotation) and offers a supportive, collaborative team culture with close partnership with providers, case management, therapy teams and support staff. The practice development practitioner provides ongoing education, training, support and mentoring.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing.
• Current Florida or multistate Registered Nurse licensure.
• At least six months of prior Registered Nurse experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

The pay range is $31.53 to $52.24. Positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
