Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit

About the role

The Medical Surgical Unit is seeking a competent Registered Nurse to provide both routine and complex patient care. The RN will work independently, applying the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient outcomes while supporting long‑range care goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care consistent with ANA standards, including comprehensive patient assessments and care planning.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side‑effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Identify learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers, linking them to appropriate resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
