Registered Nurse – Med Telemetry Night Shift

About the role

Ochsner seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full‑time night shift in Med Telemetry. This position plays a leadership role in patient care, applying the Nursing Process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. You will work with a compassionate, inclusive team to deliver exceptional care.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively use the Nursing Process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients and families.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources.
• Utilize data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Adapt behavior to respect patient privacy, cultural diversity, and communication preferences.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Education: Registered Nurse diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; clinical specialty certification preferred.
