About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse on the Med Surg unit at OMC Jeff Hwy, working night shifts. You will provide high‑quality patient care, lead the nursing team, and contribute to the hospital’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care and assess learning needs.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
Adapt communication and care approaches to respect cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s preferred).
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
No prior work experience required.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
Good judgment and ability to work independently.
