Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery Recovery (LDRP)

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an acute care setting as part of the Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community. This part‑time position focuses on labor, delivery, and recovery (LDRP) services, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and babies.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives.
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and mobilize resources as needed.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuously evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to clinical protocols.
• Communicate effectively, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts within the care team.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Float to other units or facilities within the service area when required.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing‑approved nursing program.
• Active RN license (multi‑state compact or single‑state) with privileges to practice in the state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Commitment to professional development and maintenance of required certifications.
