Registered Nurse – Infusion/Oncology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Infusion/Oncology is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 to provide compassionate chemotherapy and biotherapy care to adult patients. The RN will assess, plan, and evaluate patient treatment plans while collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other medications safely, maintaining accurate records per regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning, operate medical equipment, and serve as a preceptor for new staff.
• Adhere to university and unit policies, safeguarding assets and maintaining a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Registered Nurse license in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, including recent chemotherapy/biotherapy administration.
