Registered Nurse - ICU Neurology

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for its ICU Neurology unit in Redmond, Georgia. The nurse conducts comprehensive assessments of patients and develops and implements individualized care plans, working closely with medical staff and ancillary departments. The schedule is full-time, day shift, with three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and rotating weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors of patients
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, revising them as needed
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care

Required profile

• Registered Nurse license (RN) required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

What we offer

• Pay range of $30.70 - $50.42, with a minimum of $35 per hour and a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for eligible candidates
