Registered Nurse - Hospice RN

About the role

BAYADA Hospice is seeking full-time Registered Nurses to join its team in Norwich, VT. The office serves hospice clients throughout Windsor, Orange and Caledonia counties in Vermont, as well as parts of Grafton County in New Hampshire. The position offers a Monday-to-Friday schedule with no weekends or on-call duty.

Key responsibilities

• Make home visits to hospice clients within your assigned geographic territory.
• Provide skilled nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, treatments, procedures and comfort-focused care.
• Assess patients' conditions and communicate changes to the clinical team.
• Implement and document physician orders accurately and promptly.
• Perform patient assessments and help coordinate individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patients and their families.

Required profile

• Current RN license in Vermont and New Hampshire.
• At least one year of recent, verifiable clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing or a related area.
• Previous home health and/or hospice experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel to patient homes within the service area.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.

• Pay of $45-$55 per hour depending on experience, plus a $20,000 sign-on bonus for full-time commitment.
