Registered Nurse – Hospice (Full‑Time, Day Shift)

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in a hospice setting, following the nursing process and ANA Code of Ethics. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports patients and families through end‑of‑life care.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform planned interventions safely according to hospital policies.
• Communicate patient condition changes to physicians using SBAR format and advocate for patient needs.
• Coordinate care with the health‑care team and document assessments, interventions, and care plans in the electronic medical record.
• Develop and update patient‑focused care plans, provide education to patients and families, and reflect on performance for continuous learning.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• At least one year of clinical nursing experience; home‑health experience preferred.
• Current RN license in Missouri (or compact licensure) and Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb, stand, walk, and perform frequent physical tasks.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• RN licensure (Missouri or compact).
• Medication administration.
• Electronic medical record documentation.
