Registered Nurse – Hematology/Oncology Specialty

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (U) to provide patient‑family centered care in the Hematology/Oncology specialty. This full‑time position works onsite at UHealth Tower 1 and involves direct patient assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on responses and physician orders.
• Review diagnostic tests, consult with physicians, and prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members, and assist with discharge planning.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN holders have 2 years to complete BSN).
• Valid Florida RN license with ACLS and BLS certification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
