Registered Nurse – Full-Time Days – Post-Partum

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our Post-Partum unit on a day-shift schedule (7 am‑7 pm). The RN will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support the mission of Methodist Health System.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned team members.
• Educate patients, families, and significant others about care plans and post-partum recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and according to protocol.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to hospital policies and standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 12 months of RN experience or successful completion of a Nurse Residency Program.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• IV therapy and medication administration.
