Registered Nurse – Emergency Services (Full-Time, Evenings)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency and Level I Trauma team during evening shifts. The RN will deliver compassionate, patient‑ and family‑centered care in a fast‑paced, Magnet‑designated hospital, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive multi‑system assessments (cardiac, respiratory, neurological) and develop individualized care plans.
• Communicate critical findings and patient status to physicians and interdisciplinary team, ensuring closed‑loop communication.
• Initiate and monitor IV therapy, collect specimens, conduct point‑of‑care testing, administer medications, and assist with procedures such as sedation.
• Provide 1:1 bedside care for critical patients, including transport for procedures.
• Complete accurate triage documentation, vital signs, and admission history in the EMR.
• Respond to codes and traumas, document actions per protocol, and participate in discharge planning.

Required profile

• Active RN licensure in Florida or multi‑state eNLC.
• Current BLS, PALS, and CPR certifications; CPI certification within 1 year; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in pediatric emergency or trauma nursing preferred.
• Ability to work evening shifts and provide on‑call coverage as required.

• IV insertion and management.
