Registered Nurse – Crisis Relief Center

About the role

The Crisis Relief Center at Cascade provides short‑term care for individuals in mental health or substance‑use crises. As a Registered Nurse you will assess clients, document triage information, and deliver education and interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including triage, medical/behavioral health, and medication administration.
• Document all medications brought in by clients and transcribe provider orders accurately.
• Develop and implement individual treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide education on psychiatric diagnoses, treatment options, and health literacy to clients and families.
• De‑escalate aggressive situations, apply seclusion/restraint protocols, and complete required documentation.
• Perform minor wound care, draw labs, and assist with client discharge or transfer.

Required profile

• Washington State Department of Health RN license (or multistate license covering Washington).
• BLS certification.
• Experience with acute wound assessment and management.
• Ability to pass WA State Patrol background check and annual re‑checks.
• Physical capability to complete violence‑prevention training and MOAB techniques.
