About the role
The University of Miami Comprehensive Treatment Unit is seeking a Part‑Time Registered Nurse to provide chemotherapy and biotherapy infusion services in Hollywood, FL. The RN will care for oncology patients, administer study medications, and support clinical research protocols.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer standard chemotherapy, biotherapy, and non‑chemotherapy medications according to physician orders.
- Obtain pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens required by research protocols.
- Monitor therapeutic responses, manage side effects, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate medication and treatment records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and evaluate patient care plans.
- Provide patient education, psychological support, and culturally sensitive care.
- Operate medical equipment safely and serve as a preceptor for new staff.
Required profile
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience caring for oncology or infusion patients.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment and follow strict protocols.
