Registered Nurse – Chemotherapy Infusion (Hollywood)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide chemotherapy infusion services in Hollywood, FL. The RN will deliver safe, compassionate care to oncology patients, supporting treatment plans and monitoring patient responses.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, physician orders, and diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and chemotherapy infusions.
• Administer medications and chemotherapy agents in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Operate medical equipment safely and assist with discharge planning.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff and support a compassionate care environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Administration Guidelines certification (ONC/ONCC) – can be obtained before start date.
