Registered Nurse – Chemotherapy Infusion (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver chemotherapy infusion services. This full‑time position provides patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent, evidence‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs.
• Report symptoms, modify treatment plans per physician orders, and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and chemotherapy infusions.
• Provide psychological support and consider age and cultural factors in care.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate treatment records, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, offering feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Current RN license with experience in oncology or chemotherapy infusion.
• Ability to assess patient conditions and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to adhering to university policies and regulatory guidelines.
