Registered Nurse – Care Center RN

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy Care Center/Multispecialty Clinic in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. This hands‑on, patient‑facing position provides safe, evidence‑based care, supports physicians, and responds to urgent and emergency situations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, initial assessments, triage and prioritization of care.
• Obtain histories, vital signs, symptoms, medications and chief complaints.
• Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, procedures and care plans.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, IV/IM treatments and injections as ordered.
• Conduct EKGs, venipuncture, glucose testing, urine testing, strep screens, spirometry and other clinical procedures.
• Provide wound care and assist with treatment of injuries, burns, fractures, hemorrhages and other urgent conditions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and neurological status, document assessments and interventions.
• Identify gaps in care, educate patients and caregivers, coordinate referrals and multidisciplinary treatment plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and active, unrestricted RN license in Puerto Rico.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, including Emergency Room/Emergency Department work.
• Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency.
• EKG certification, current Puerto Rico Health Certificate and PR Law 300 Certificate as applicable.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays and 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts.

• EKG performance and interpretation.
• Venipuncture and IV/IM medication administration.
• Vaccination administration.
• Wound care techniques.
• ACLS certification (preferred).
• PALS certification (preferred).
