Registered Nurse – Assessment Center – Night Shifts (Part‑time/Full‑time)

About the role

The Assessment Center serves as the emergency entry point for Woman's Hospital, providing comprehensive care to a diverse obstetrical and medical population. We are seeking Registered Nurses to work night shifts on a part‑time or full‑time basis, delivering high‑quality nursing care in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient status, integrating data from the care team to develop independent nursing plans.
• Create detailed care plans that include patient and family education, adjusting interventions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure understanding and execution of care plans.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment, revising plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers throughout the continuum of care.
• Prepare patients for discharge using established clinical pathways.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care in accordance with professional standards.
• Perform additional duties assigned by department management.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• Emergency Room or obstetric nursing experience preferred.
• Relevant certifications preferred.
