Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (OB/GYN)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide ambulatory care for obstetrics and gynecology patients. The nurse will manage the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation, ensuring safe and compassionate care in an outpatient setting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews, explain policies, and review charts while assessing vital systems (gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, neurological) and mobility, sensory, prosthetic, and skin status.
• Assess pain levels, manage pain, and document physiologic health status and care plans.
• Evaluate psychosocial health, cultural needs, coping mechanisms, and provide referrals to support, counseling, and social services.
• Develop patient outcome statements, set individualized goals, and prioritize care activities.
• Coordinate cost‑effective use of supplies, equipment, and medication; collaborate with physicians and the health team.
• Implement and continuously reassess the plan of care, administer prescribed treatments, operate medical equipment, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families, act swiftly in emergencies, and ensure safety precautions are followed.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in ambulatory or OB/GYN settings preferred.

Required skills

• Comprehensive patient assessment (cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, neurological, pain).
• Clinical documentation and electronic health record usage.
• Medication administration and operation of medical equipment.
• Care planning, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and patient education.
