Registered Nurse - Adult Emergency Department

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time day-shift Registered Nurse for its 50-bed Adult Emergency Department in Celebration, Florida. The department is described as the busiest in Osceola County, serving a diverse patient population including international guests, and offers three levels of emergency care: acute, intermediate and fast-track. Nurses can also float among other Celebration Emergency Department locations, including Main Campus Pediatrics and three freestanding EDs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Associate's degree in nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• 1+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Eligible candidates receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a $3,000 relocation bonus; internal candidates and rehires within 12 months are not eligible, and relocation eligibility requires living 50 miles outside the campus address.

Required skills

• RN licensure and BLS/CPR certification.
• Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) preferred.
