Physical Therapist

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist in Celebration, Florida, working day and weekend shifts. The role combines clinical practice with evidence-based care, patient education and supervision of therapy assistants, within a community focused on the whole person.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clinical knowledge and use evidence-based practices, and act as a clinical instructor
• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards
• Establish, implement and adapt individualized treatment plans, including goals, activities and frequency
• Document care accurately, completely and on time, and charge patients correctly
• Identify the need for patient and caregiver education, including discharge recommendations
• Discharge patients when maximum benefit is achieved or according to practice and payer guidelines
• Oversee the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides
• Take part in performance improvement activities and support departmental quality standards
• Maintain productivity standards and adjust work hours to meet patient needs; other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist - Temporary (PT-TEMP)
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred; education must meet the licensing or certification standards of the relevant body
• Conversational English, able to communicate clearly with patients, staff, physicians, nurses and administrators
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Effective written, verbal and electronic communication

Pay range: $31.86 - $59.27. Florida Level 2 background screening applies. The employer is an equal opportunity employer.
