Registered Nurse - Acute Observation A

About the role

The Acute Observation A unit seeks a competent Registered Nurse to provide both routine and complex patient care. You will work independently, applying the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient outcomes while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in accordance with ANA standards, including comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments using established protocols, monitoring for side‑effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.
• Identify and address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions, treatment plans, and self‑care strategies.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to support staff to manage the clinical situation efficiently.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment (or compact license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Willingness to work multiple shifts on a full‑time basis.
