About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse 3 to join the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities on a night shift. This full‑time position provides direct nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients while contributing to the health and well‑being of Georgia residents.
Key responsibilities
- Assess client health problems and needs under broad supervision.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records.
- Administer nursing care, including medication administration and wound care.
- Advise clients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and case management.
Required profile
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Three (3) years of professional nursing experience, or one (1) year at the lower level Registered Nurse 2 (or equivalent).
- Ability to work night shifts and follow broad supervisory guidance.
