Registered Nurse 2 – Neurology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Neurology department is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 to provide patient‑family centered care in Boca Raton, FL. The RN will work in both the infusion center and the medical ambulatory clinic, supporting physicians and nurse practitioners with a focus on multiple sclerosis (MS) care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic tests, consult with physicians and other professionals to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and biotherapy agents (e.g., Tysabri, rituximab, IVIg, Solumedrol) safely and maintain accurate medication records.
• Coordinate patient care transitions, communicate plans to patients, families, and the care team, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
• Support infusion activities, complete required training, and document competencies.

Required profile

• Current RN license in Florida.
• Experience in infusion therapy and ambulatory clinic settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
