Registered Nurse 2 – Full-Time, Multi‑Specialty

About the role

The University of Miami’s UHealth SoLé Mia is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 to deliver patient‑family centered care across multiple specialties. This full‑time position involves direct clinical duties, supervision of nursing staff, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review diagnostic test results, consult with physicians, and develop comprehensive care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while respecting cultural and age considerations.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests safely, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members, ensuring HIPAA compliance and smooth transitions of care.
• Assist with discharge planning and prioritize assignments to achieve superior patient outcomes.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to university and unit policies, safeguarding assets and operating medical equipment safely.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
