Registered Nurse 2 – Emergency Department (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 to join its Emergency Department. You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with physicians, and support a compassionate, high‑quality clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Review and report diagnostic test results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication records.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and operate medical equipment safely.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff and support their integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
